The Berlin Aid App is aimed exclusively at those eligible for aid, for whom the Berlin State Administration Office acts as the central aid office. You can use it to submit your receipts (medical bills, prescriptions, prescriptions) informally and digitally via your smartphone. It is an alternative to the traditional, paper-based application for civil service assistance. Using the Berlin Aid app is free of charge. After the one-time registration process in the app (entering identification data, accepting the terms of use, setting up password protection and activating the Berliner Aid app via 2-factor authentication), you can enter receipts. Simply take a photo of it with the app or scan the printed barcode - if available. A camera with a minimum resolution of 5 megapixels is required for the photo function. You can then submit the documents digitally to the aid office in the Berlin State Administration Office. After your documents have been received, you will receive a confirmation of receipt and further information about the processing status of your digitally submitted application as a message on your smartphone. The aid notice is provided in the mailbox, which provides functions for managing the documents.
